BMC offered me a very unique opportunity to create these promotional buttons. They were going to be used at a developer conference with over 2000 attendees. It was exciting knowing that so many people are going to see my art.
I begin by coming up with as many designs as I can. I eliminate the ones I don't like and narrow my options down to two or three.
Next, I redraw my favorite design on a digital art program (Adobe Illustrator). After several rounds of revision, I am ready to print my design.
The buttons are then made by hand using a button machine. Here are the finished products:
